Torrey Barnhouse
Torrey Barnhouse is a Founder and President of TrustHCS. He brings over 20 years of operational, sales, marketing and executive management expertise to the role. Prior to TrustHCS, Torrey was the VP / General Manager of Healthcare Consulting Services for HealthPort where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations and financial outcomes of the division.
Other professional experience includes: Vice President of Business Development for Nauvalis Healthcare Solutions, a provider of healthcare IT, consulting and outsourced solutions for process improvement, compliance and education; and Vice President of Sales for Micro Innovations, Inc.
Torrey has served as a member of the ADVANCE for Health Information Professionals Industry Council and has recently served as a speaker for several state Health Information Management Associations including Kansas, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Iowa, Tennessee, Nebraska, Colorado and Illinois. He is also a regular presenter to HIM education programs in both Missouri and Oklahoma.
Torrey is a graduate of Abilene Christian University where he received a Bachelor’s degree.
Cathy Brownfield, RHIA, CCA
Cathy Brownfield is a Founder and VP of Operations for TrustHCS. She brings over 15 years of coding operations, auditing and education experience to her role. Prior to TrustHCS she served as the Operations Director for HealthPort’s Coding Operations division working with the staff to oversee scheduling, billing, and quality assurance efforts. Throughout her career she has focused on inpatient, outpatient surgery, and ER coding, as well as, auditing.
The combination of Cathy’s education and experience makes her an excellent Health Information Management consultant, auditor, and educator. Cathy is a graduate of Arkansas Tech University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management. She is also a Registered Health Information Administrator and a Certified Coding Specialists, and is a member of the American Health Information Management Association and the Arkansas Health Information Management Association.
Dianne Haas
Dr. Haas leads the Consulting Services Division for TrustHCS. She is an experienced health care consultant who has held a number of executive level positions in areas of clinical and research administration, assessment of and program redesign for inpatient and outpatient operations, project planning and management. She possesses in depth experience with continuous quality improvement concepts, benchmarking, and productivity analysis, improved program efficiencies, and utilization management primarily focused on payer contracting, CDI management, and deployment of clinical information systems.
Her work experience has included staff nurse and clinical nurse specialist positions in both inpatient and ambulatory settings in clinical pediatrics, child/adolescent psychiatry, and adult medical surgical general practice and intensive care areas. She has held executive leadership positions in both community and academic medical centers, the Michigan Department of Community Health, and community based non-profits related to both operations and research.
Deborah Robb, BSHA, CPC
Deborah Robb is a Physician Management Consultant for TrustHCS where she is responsible for their Physician Practices business. Deborah has over thirty years of experience in healthcare and extensive experience in clinical settings inclusive of but not limited to hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and free-standing home health agencies. Deborah possesses an extensive teaching background in medical coding and medical insurance. She is also a five time author in Medical Coding and Insurance for e-learning courses by Direct Learning.
Deobrah is the Founder and former President of the Hattiesburg, MS chapter of the AAPC. She has held the position of Medical Program Director for Antonelli College in MS. As Program Director, Deborah designed, implemented, and revised program curriculums for certification requirements. In addition, Deborah has implemented and monitored compliance with QA / CQI and PI programs in accordance with the guidelines and conducted contract-coding programs in which she enhanced the skill and knowledge levels of client employees so they could set for the National Certified Coding Exams.
Alice Zentner, RHIA
Alice is the Director of Auditing and Education for TrustHCS. She brings over 21 years of health information experience primarily focusing on coding audits, education and billing follow-through. Throughout her extensive career, Alice has also served in clinical documentation improvement (CDI) roles as a concurrent review coding specialist and CDI consultant with national healthcare consulting organizations. Prior to consulting, Alice served as interim coding manager, director of education and outpatient coding services and as a nurse auditor/revenue integrity officer for a large HCA teaching facility.
In her current role as a Director of Auditing and Education, Alice will assist TrustHCS’s team of auditors as well as conduct ICD-10-CM/PCS preparedness assessments, planning and audits for clients. Alice is also leading TrustHCS’s education initiatives for all clinical specialties while building collaboration between CDI specialists and clinical coders.
