A 2019 CDI Week Tribute

Each year, the third week of September is a week dedicated to recognizing unique skills and expertise of CDI specialists. September 16th through the 20th the industry is taking time to recognize “CDI Superheroes” who are the heroes hospitals deserve.

We asked our TrustHCS CDI leaders to select a few heroes from our team who they thought deserved time in the spotlight. Here are the heroes they provided.

Susan Albertson, CDI Consultant

Susan is always proactive and steps up to get things done!

Dependable

What additional information can you provide that makes the nominee worthy of being featured during CDI Week 2019?

Sue is always looking for ways to help, either other TrustHCS staff or the client staff. She sees what needs to be accomplished and does not hesitate to jump in. Sue always has a positive attitude.

Continue to be you and you will always have the admiration of those you work with!

Mandy Hewitt, CDI Specialist

What has this CDI professional done to be a hero our clients deserve?

Mandy is the epitome of an outstanding employee. She is always flexible and willing to take on any task that is assigned to her. She fills in for CDI staffing PTO for numerous clients and completes QA for a number of TrustHCS CDI clients. Mandy never hesitates to lend a hand and is very quality-oriented. Thank you so much Mandy, you are a great asset to this company!

What is the first characteristic that comes to mind when you think about the work ethic of the nominee?

Quality-driven

What additional information can you provide that makes the nominee worthy of being featured during CDI Week 2019?

Recently, Mandy was asked to research the specialty of OB and create a PowerPoint presentation with numerous aspects (coding, CDI opportunities, complications, etc.). Mandy was nervous that she had not done any formal research or worked with PowerPoint in quite some time. Of course, Mandy knocked the request out of the park and submitted a very well-researched presentation! Thank you for going outside of your comfort zone, Mandy!

Autumn Reiter, Director, CDI Services

Autumn sets the bar extremely high for the CDI professional. She continually educates herself, promotes excellence, generously teaches others, and works tirelessly to do get the job done.

Strength, integrity, character

What additional information can you provide that makes the nominee worthy of being featured during CDI Week 2019?

I have had the good fortune of seeing Autumn in action when she is providing education and when she is speaking with hospital leadership. She is so comfortable and knowledgeable that they don’t want her to leave without making sure she is coming back. She completely sells CDI, and we are very lucky to have her.
